I am a pianist, arranger, musical director and (occasionally) drummer living in London.

This page finally has some music! "Fair Weather" from my new band's first gig, which took place at the North London Tavern on 6th May. The band features Will Rixon, Tom Challenger, Lewis Wright, Ben Barritt, Tom Farmer, Daoud Merchant and a drunk Polish lady shouting "arriba" at 9:20.

I'll be posting more music soon, including a track from Ben's great new EP.

BIOGRAPHY

George Moore began playing piano and drums at an early age. He graduated from the jazz piano course at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 2009, where he studied with Malcolm Edmonstone, Barry Green and Paul Roberts.

He has since worked in a wide range of musical contexts as a pianist, arranger and musical director with artists including Goldie, Frances Ruffelle, The Heritage Orchestra (with Unkle), The Metropole Orchestra (with Chaka Khan), Dave Liebman, Darius, Yasmin Levy, London Vocal Project and some of the UK's finest jazz musicians including Gareth Lockrane, Phil Robson, Christine Tobin, Jim Hart, Steve Fishwick and Juliet Kelly. George worked as piano tutor to the actor Dustin Hoffman for his piano-playing role in the movie "Last Chance Harvey" and on BBC television shows "Just The Two Of Us" and "Let Me Entertain You".

George is currently playing with, amongst others, Berlin-based singer-songwriter Jim Kroft and London soul vocalist Kwabs as well as his own group, George Moore Ensemble, which performs his original compositions.
